Below is the same client that the download links give you, compiled to WebAssembly and drawing on a <canvas>. The picture you see before you press anything is a real render too — taken off the wire by the repository's snapshot tool, not a mockup — so a browser that cannot run the client still shows you the application.

It is a viewing vehicle and not the model. The browser supplies three things and nothing else: a GPU surface, a socket and a pointer. There is no DOM below that line, no HTML, no CSS and no cascade — the module is the client, and the server sends only data. What it costs is a two-megabyte download the native client does not, which is why nothing is fetched until you ask for it.
